Event and Community Outreach Coordinator

The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Protective Services is actively seeking an Event and Community Outreach Coordinator.

This is administrative work in planning, organizing, and executing events and outreach initiatives to promote Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) and its mission.

Open Requirements:

• Four years of education and/or experience in event planning, community outreach, public relations, or a related field, preferably within a nonprofit or animal welfare organization.
• Creative thinker with a passion for animal welfare and community engagement.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms and marketing tools to promote events and initiatives.
• Experience in volunteer coordination and management is preferred.
• Euthanasia Technician Certification is required to be obtained during probation period and must be maintained.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained during employment in this class.
• Must qualify for prior to appointment, obtain, and maintain during employment in this class a City of Jacksonville certification as a public driver.
